Diesel Automation

Diesel automation refers to the automation of processes associated with diesel engines and systems. This can include fuel flow control, monitoring engine parameters, automatic start and stop functions of diesel generators, or optimizing diesel fuel delivery.

Often integrated with the PMS, selected SYMAP®BC/BCG and Y series models offer comprehensive monitoring and protection functions for diesel generator engines.

This includes:

  • starting phase monitoring
  • stopping phase monitoring
  • speed measurement and overspeed protection
  • oil pressure monitoring
  • coolant temperature
  • exhaust gas temperature
  • additional engine operating parameters monitoring

SYMAP® devices can interface with engine controllers using digital signals, analog signals, and various communication protocols.
